Equality and Diversity
The SUB Göttingen is committed to the values of equality, family friendliness and diversity. As a central institution of the University of Göttingen, we promote equal opportunities and a respectful cooperation between all members of the university.
The team of the Equal Opportunities Officers is the contact point for all SUB Göttingen employees who have questions about equality and diversity. Additionally, our users may feel free to contact us if they have any questions or problems relating to equality or diversity issues during their use of the library. The framework for our actions is provided by the SUB Göttingen's 2017 Gleichstellungsplan (Equal Opportunities Plan) (PDF 1.3 MB) from 2017.
Our tasks also include supporting the recruitment process, for example in job interviews, as well as developing concepts to promote equal opportunities and reduce discrimination in the workplace. We defend the interests and concerns of the SUB's employees and are committed to structurally anchoring equality and diversity. In addition, we work closely with the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Office at the University of Göttingen and with the decentralized equal opportunities officers and teams of the university’s faculties and other institutions.
