Physics Divisional Library

The Physics Divisional Library (BBP) provides specialist literature on physics as well as chemistry, astronomy, computer science, mathematics and technology. Our team will advise you on all questions regarding library use.

Our Holdings

In our library holds about 39,000 freely accessible monographs, textbooks, series and reference works. The majority of our inventory can be borrowed on a regular basis, in individual cases this is indicated by the shelf mark.

The most important textbooks for studying physics and chemistry are grouped separately in their respective textbook collection.

Reserved titles or titles ordered by catalogue can be picked up at the information desk.

You can access our constantly growing range of e-books and e-journals via our catalogues and databases.

On our subject-specific information pages you will find subject-specific information on catalogs, databases, e-journals and other research tools. Our subject librarians will support you with all questions regarding literature research and ensure that the most important publications in your subject area are available in our holdings.

Accessibility at the Location

There are four parking spaces for people with disabilities directly in front of the Physics Faculty.

There is a barrier-free entrance to the right of the main entrance to the Physics Faculty. From there, the Physics Divisional Library, which is located directly opposite the main entrance, can be reached at ground level.

Accessible bathrooms are available on several levels, e. g. on the 1st basement floor and on the 1st floor. Both are accessible via a barrier-free elevator.
