Open Science MeetUp
Initiated in December 2016, the Open Science Göttingen Meet-ups bring together committed researchers, students and librarians interested in promoting Open Science principles at Campus Göttingen.
Everyone interested in Open Science is invited to join the quarterly meet-ups and the related working groups on practical aspects (e. g. Carpentries, Hacky Hour). To stay up to date please subscribe to our mailing list.
Current events are listed in the event calendar or at the bottom of this page.
Carpentries
SUB Göttingen coordinates a Carpentries working group at Göttingen Campus. The working group regularly organizes workshops to teach foundational programming and data science skills for efficient, open and reproducible research and its applications. Visit our Carpentries notepad to learn more about us.
SUB Göttingen is a member of The Carpentries. We can therefore regularly onboard new instructors based on an instructor training programme. If you are interested in becoming an instructor, please contact Dr. Birgit Schmidt.
ENLIGHT
In the "ENLIGHT RISE and Arqus Alliance Ambassador Webinar Series on Open Science", questions regarding Open Science will be discussed.
Further information
On behalf of the university, the SUB Göttingen engages in various national and international organisations and committees that address the implementation of good practices and the development of infrastructures and services in support of Open Science.
