First publication
Would you like to publish your project report, a manuscript, a publication series or similar? Then GRO.publications, the publication management system of the University of Göttingen, offers you the opportunity to do so.
Prerequisites
Affiliation
At least one of the persons or organisational units involved has an affiliation with the University of Göttingen (including Göttingen University Medical Centre) or belongs to a Göttingen campus institution. This affiliation must be indicated in the document. For members of the University of Göttingen, the wording of this affiliation is regulated in the affiliation policy.
Creative Commons License (CC License)
The documents are given a CC licence. CC licences regulate the free use of copyright-protected works, thereby contributing to better reuse of content and increased visibility. A flexible model with six possible gradations is used. In the spirit of open science, the CC BY and CC BY-SA variants are particularly recommended.
CC licences are a type of open content licences.
Title page
First publications must have a meaningful title page, which should contain the following information: title, authors, year of publication, place of publication, identifier (DOI), reference to the series or similar, if applicable, licence information with link and logo, affiliation (institution to which the persons involved belong). The document should also include an abstract and keywords.
Your Advantages
Visibility
To ensure broad visibility for your publication, it will be forwarded to various databases. Depending on the type of publication, this includes sending it to the German National Library and recording it in the Gemeinsamer Verbundkatolog (GVK, Joint Union Catalogue). In addition, the data from GRO.publications is harvested by the scientific search engine BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine).
Fulfillment of funding conditions
First publications via GRO.publications can meet the requirements of funding organisations. These often require research results to be published in open access, and publications must also have a persistent identifier and a Creative Commons licence.
Fast and free of charge
First-time publication via GRO.publications can usually be arranged within one to three working days. There is no charge for first-time publications via GRO.publications.

Implementation
The GRO.publications team prepares the data record in GRO.publications and generates the DOI. To do this, you will need to provide some basic bibliographic data (person responsible, title of the publication, year of publication, details of the series if applicable). You then insert the DOI into the document in a clearly visible position; the GRO.publications team then uploads the publication.
Detailed information and suggestions for the title page can be found in the help wiki. You are also welcome to design your own title page.
